HOW KANSAS KEEPS ITS AVIATION INDUSTRY ALOFT

It would be virtually impossible to live in the Wichita region and not know people who work in the aerospace industry. Kansas’ biggest metro, with nearly 400,000 residents, is home to Boeing, Spirit Aerosystems, Textron Aviation (producer of Cessna, Hawker and Beechcraft aircraft), Airbus and Bombardier Learjet. Those are just the big names. The Air Capital of the World is also home to more than 450 suppliers.

The Partnership is actively engaged as team members promote the Air Capital of the World’s diverse capabilities at the Space Symposium from April 8-11 in Colorado Springs and at the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Americas from April 9-11 in Chicago.

 
 

WICHITA AEROSPACE BUSINESSES WILL TOUT THE AIR CAPITAL AT NATIONAL EVENTS IN APRIL

Wichita aerospace companies are headed to Chicago, Colorado and Florida next week to tell people about the advantages of working with businesses in the Air Capital.

Representatives of the Greater Wichita Partnership, Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport and six companies head to Chicago next week to showcase the city's manufacturing capabilities and talent pipeline. More than 1,000 global exhibitors will be at the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Americas exhibition April 9-11.
